Apple Oatmeal Breakfast

This apple oatmeal breakfast is the perfect combination of delicious and nutritious. The flavors of apple, brown sugar and cinnamon will make your feel warm and cozy.

Ingredients

  • 1/3 cup quick oats
  • ½ cup milk
  • ¼ cup apple sauce, unsweetened
  • 1 teaspoon brown sugar
  • 1 tablespoon ground flaxseeds
  • 1 pinch of ground cinnamon
  • ½ apple, diced
  • ¼ cup Greek yogurt (plain or vanilla)
  • Minced or chopped almonds (to taste)

Instructions

  1. In a microwave-safe bowl, mix the oats, milk, apple sauce, brown sugar, flaxseeds, and cinnamon.
  2. Add half of the diced apple and mix.
  3. Microwave for about 60-90 seconds. Make sure to mix every 30 seconds.
  4. Let stand for about 1 minute.
  5. Top with Greek yogurt, the rest of the apple, and the almonds. Sprinkle with some brown sugar. Enjoy!
