A tilapia recipe… Those who’ve known me for a while might be surprised by a fish recipe on my blog! For a long time, I didn’t like to eat fish at all. Over the years, I had to try it many different times before I learned to appreciate it. I think it just needs to be well-prepared! This recipe is delicious, easy, and really quick to make. Perfect for weekdays dinners
Servings: 4
Cooking time: 15-20 minutes
Ingredients
- 1 pound tilapia fillets (or other white fish)
- 1 tablespoon butter, melted
- ¼ cup Panko breadcrumbs
- ½ cup shredded parmesan cheese
- 1 teaspoon dry oregano
- ½ teaspoon dry parsley (or ½ tbsp chopped fresh parsley)
- ½ teaspoon minced garlic
- 2 tablespoons sour cream
Instructions
- Preheat the oven at 400F and line a baking sheet with aluminum foil.
- In a small bowl, mix together the butter, breadcrumbs, parmesan, oregano, parsley, and garlic. Set aside.
- Place the tilapia fillets on the prepared baking sheet.
- Evenly spread sour cream onto the top of tilapia.
- Top with the breadcrumbs mixtures and gently press with your fingers.
- Cook in the oven for about 15-20 minutes or until fish is cooked (cooking time will depend on the thickness of the fish).
- Turn up the oven to 500F (broil) and keep cooking for another 2-3 minutes or until the top is golden and crispy.
