Banana Honey Muffins

If there is one recipe that everyone loves, it is definitely banana muffins, right? I love these muffins because they are soft, fluffy, and comforting. Also, they are super easy to make! Fun fact: this is actually the first recipe I ever created! I just didn’t publish it right away. 🙂

Servings: 12 muffins

Dry Ingredients

  • 2/3 cup whole wheat flour
  • 2/3 cup all-purpose flour
  • 1/2 cup quick oats
  • 1 tablespoon baking powder
  • 1 pinch of salt
  • 1/3 cup semi-sweet chocolate chips
  • 3 tablespoons chopped pecans (optional)

Ingrédients humides

  • 2 bananas, mashed
  • 1/2 cup canola oil (or any vegetable oil)
  • 1/2 cup honey
  • 1 egg

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 375F and grease 12 cups of a muffin tin or line it with paper liners.
  2. In a medium bowl, mix together all of the dry ingredients. Set aside.
  3. In a separate large bowl, combine all of the wet ingredients. Whisk until smooth.
  4. Pour the dry ingredients into the wet ingredients and mix until just combined.
  5. Fill your muffin tins with the batter.
  6. Bake for about 22 minutes or until a toothpick inserted in the middle comes out clean.

Note: I like to make that recipe with pecans because it adds some texture. However, if you want to make it nut-free, you can totally omit them!
