Banana Bread

We all need a good banana bread recipe! This recipe is designed to be higher in fiber and protein than the classic version, making it a nutritious and filling snack without compromising on taste.

Banana Bread

Ingredients

Dry Ingredients

  • 1 cup whole wheat flour
  • ½ cup wheat germ
  • 1 tbsp baking powder
  • 1 tsp baking soda

Wet Ingredients

  • ½ cup brown sugar
  • ¼ cup vegetable oil
  • 2 eggs
  • ½ cup plain Greek Yogurt
  • 3 mashed bananas

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 325°F and grease a 9-inch by 5-inch (23 cm by 13 cm) loaf pan.
  2. In a medium bowl, mix all the dry ingredients. Set aside.
  3. In a large bowl, whisk together brown sugar, vegetable oil, and the eggs.
  4. Add yogurt and mashed bananas to the wet ingredients.
  5. Gently fold the dry ingredients into the wet ingredients until the mixture is homogeneous but not overmixed.
  6. Pour the batter into the loaf pan.
  7. Bake in the oven for approximately 40 to 45 minutes, or until a toothpick inserted into the center of the banana bread comes out clean.
