For the Holidays, I decided to create two crostini recipes. Here’s the first one: whipped goat cheese, sliced pear, honey, and pomegranate. These flavors are so festive!
Servings: 12 to 18 crostinis, depending on the size of the bread
Ingredients
- 1 small French baguette, sliced in ½ inch pieces
- Olive oil
- 4 onces of goat cheese
- 2 tablespoons of milk
- 2 pears, thinly sliced
- Honey
- Pomegranate seeds, to taste
Instructions
- Preheat the oven to 450F and line a baking sheet with parchment paper or aluminum foil. Place the oven rack in the middle position.
- Lightly brush both sides of each slice of bread with olive oil.
- Arrange the bread in a single layer on the prepared baking sheet.
- Bake in the oven for 5 to 7 minutes on each side. Set aside.
- In a large bowl, whisk the goat cheese and milk.
- Spread the goat cheese on the toasted bread and top with the pear slices.
- Drizzle with honey and top with pomegranate seeds. Serve immediately.
