I love fries. Yes, even if I am a dietitian, I eat everything – I don’t have any forbidden food. Sometimes, I feel like eating fries from a restaurant, sometimes I want them homemade. So here’s my favorite homemade seasoned fries recipe. Easy to make and delicious, they’re perfect for a weekday, but they also make the perfect side for a weekend dinner.
Servings: about 4
Cooking time: 30 minutes
Ingredients
- 4 medium Yukon Gold potatoes (or Russet potatoes)
- 4 teaspoons olive oil
- 1 teaspoon paprika
- ½ teaspoon smoked paprika
- ½ teaspoon onion powder
- ½ teaspoon fresh parsley, chopped (optional)
- Salt and pepper
Instructions
- Place one rack in the highest position in the oven and another rack in the middle position. Preheat to 425F convection.
- Line two baking sheets with aluminum foil.
- Slice the potatoes into ¼-inch-wide sticks and place them in a large bowl.
- Add the rest of the ingredients and toss to coat.
- Spread the potatoes into a single layer on the two prepared baking sheets.
- Bake in the oven for 15 minutes, then flip the fries using a spatula.
- Return to the oven, switching the position of the baking sheets (place the one who was on the top rack in the middle position).
- Continue baking for about 10-15 minutes or until the fries are as crispy as you like.
