Peanut Butter Granola

This granola recipe is so easy to prepare and so yummy! I love to eat some pieces when it’s fresh out of the oven and still warm. It can make a great snack and a perfect topping for your smoothie bowl or yogurt.

Servings : 2 1/2 cups

Ingredients

  • ½ cup peanuts (or almonds)
  • ½ cup creamy peanut butter
  • ¼ cup honey
  • 2 cups quick oats

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 350F and line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
  2. Roughly chop the peanuts (or almonds) and set them aside.
  3. In a microwave-safe bowl, combine the peanut butter and honey. Microwave for 30 seconds, or until the peanut butter is completely melted. Mix well to combine.
  4. Add the oats to the bowl and mix until they are well coated with the peanut butter-honey mixture.
  5. Stir in the chopped peanuts (or almonds)
  6. Spread the granola mixture onto the prepared baking sheet, forming an even layer.
  7. Bake for approximately 30 to 35 minutes, stirring every 10 minutes, until the granola turns golden brown.
  8. Remove from the oven and let the granola cool completely on the baking sheet. It will become crisp as it cools.
  9. Once cooled, your homemade granola is ready to enjoy! Store it in an airtight container for future snacking or as a topping for smoothie bowls or yogurt.

Tip

  • To get large pieces of granola (as in the picture): Once on the baking sheet, lightly press it with your fingers. When it’s time to you stir the granola during the baking process, be gentle and careful not to crumble it too much.
